Review: Tattu 4 Port USB Wall Charger

There are millions of charging solutions out there. So we’ll never have a shortage of options. But often times we don’t have the charging solution we need until it’s too late. and we’re stuck sharing a charger with family members, or asking a stranger if you can borrow their charger because you left the house w/o a full charge. The best way to get ahead of this problem is to shop for the option that’ll work best for your situation.
Here’s a device that would be a good solution for the home, office or while traveling. This Tattu wall charger comes with a retractable prong that will plug into a standard Type A 110V outlet. Also being compact makes it perfect for traveling, without taking up too much space in your shoulder bag, or backpack.

The little black box comes equipped with a total of 4 USB charging ports. 2 of these ports allow for 1A output power, and the other 2 ports are 2.4A. So you have the option of 4 total ports for your various devices. It utilizes smart charging technology to detect the device you’ve connected, and will supply the power necessary to get you off that charger and on the go ASAP. The Tattu wall charger, is also designed with safety in mind, protecting against overheat, over current, over-voltage, and short circuiting.

I have my phones charging dock, my bluetooth headphones, and occasionally my smartwatch plugged into it, for a daily charging. It sits out of the way and unnoticeable , not adding to my already cluttered desk. I’ll continue to use it, knowing it’s safe to leave devices connected over the weekend, and happy that I’ve come back to the office on Monday to fully charged devices. I would recommend the Tattu 4 Port Wall Adapter to anyone with multiple devices.

Tattu 34W 4 Ports USB AC Adapter 6.8A Wall Charger – Review

Just over a week ago Tattu sent me a sample of their 4 port USB Wall Charger to test and review. During the week of test it I put it through the ringer. I tested with an android phone, iPhone, large power banks, small power banks, iPad, and a Windows 10 Asus Transformer Tablet. After the week of testing I have to say that I am impressed with the charging capabilities.

First Impressions:

4 port wall charger-packing
The package was sent from the Gensace & Tattu Online Store warehouse in California and arrived quickly and in a nicely packed mailer.

The 4 port USB wall charger came in a nice brown cardboard box with the Tattu logo and the product name on the front.

4 port wall charger-inner packing
After I opened the box up I found that the 4 port USB wall charger was nicely displayed and ready for you take it out of the box. I noticed it does not have any product paperwork or manual. Normally most products I receive for review or purchase come with at least a contact card with a QR code to the product page. I also noticed that the sample had dust, fingerprint smudges, and tiny surface scratches (only a couple of scratches on each side.) These issues could be resolved by adding a static plastic wrap around it and wearing gloves when packing the products in their boxes.

The charger is lightweight but feels like its made to last. Its size is perfect to put in a jacket pocket or a carry on bag.

The Tattu 34W 4 Ports USB AC Adapter 6.8A Wall Charger is the small port charger that comes in a shiny black plastic with a small blue LED light that lights up when the charger is under power. The plug has the smooth flip that locks it into position and keeps from folding back on itself.

The USB ports face down towards the floor and the charger is not adjustable. Your only option is to have your cords point towards the ground to charge.

Charging

4 port wall charger-charge
The first thing I tried to charge was my old LG G4. It takes about two hours to charge. But with fast charge devices it takes about an hour and half. With Tattu's 4 USB wall charger it charged the phone from 10% to 100% in just over an hour and half. When I plugged in other devices. Everything charged faster but not as fast if I charging the devices on their own with the charger. I found the phones charged from 20% to 100% in an hour and forty-five minutes.

I charged my old Apple iPad 2nd Generation by itself. I started at 20% and charged to full. It took 2 hours and 20 minutes to charge and both the device and the charged stayed cool to the touch.

I charged my Asus Windows 10 Transformer Tablet starting with a 10% charge and charged it to full. It took 4 and half hours to charge. Both device and charger stayed cool to the touch. This tablet has always been a slow charge device. I normally use a more powerful charger to charge it. When I use it takes about 2 and half hours to charge.

When charging one device, both the charger and the phone stayed cool to the touch. When I charged multiple devices the charger was warm to the touch. Nothing to be concerned with. Most wall chargers get a little warm when charging multiple devices.

Charging Multiple Tablets at Same Time

Next, I plugged in my LG G4 at 50% charge, iPad 2 at 4% charge, and my Asus Transformer Tablet with a 12% charge on the 4 port USB wall charger. The charger was warm to the touch. The devices had normal surface temperatures.

The LG G4 was fully charged in 40 minutes. The iPad and Asus tablet had only charged them another 10%.

It took about 4 hours to charge both tablets. I feel asleep about 3 hours in and before I had fallen asleep the tablets were over 80% charged.

AC Adapter 6.8A Wall Charger. This little charger makes a great travel charger and it will be added to my laptop bag. I spend a lot of time working in cafes and libraries and I often need to charge multiple devices at once. At most places I usually only have one or two outlets. So having the option to charge four devices at once works great for me.

Currently you can purchase this 4 port USB Wall Charger from the Gensace & Tattu Online Store or from Amazon. On both sites you will notice limited reviews and its because this device is about 3 months old as of the writing of this article. Currently you can pick up the charger for $13.99.

If you are looking for a 4 port USB wall charger to charge all your devices while traveling or just need an extra USB wall charger, this is a great option for you.

The Power Bank Damage Phone Battery?

The power bank is a daily life necessary for people, because of the phone battery is always lack of the power. Power bank also becomes our the extra phone battery. Some people are beginning to confuse that whether power bank will damage phone battery except for the natural decay of the phone battery? Does the power bank really damage your phone battery? Why?

2
As everyone knows, the bad power bank can damage the phone battery, why?

The Quality of PCB

Power bank is made up of the shell, battery cell and PCB, the most important is PCB. The quality of the PCB directly affects the device charge effect. Because the voltage drop or boost of power bank is controlled by PCB.

By the way, the safety protection is on the PCB, such as high temperature, overcharge, over-current, over-voltage, short circuit protection etc, these are essential for power bank, but for the bad PCB can't provide better protection.

1

No trickle charge

As we know, The whole process of phone battery charging includes three stages: rapid charging, continuous charging, and trickle charging. The trickle charging is a small current to charge after the battery is full which can keep the electrons flowing and extend the battery life.

Most power banks have been disconnected from the phone before it enters the trickle charge, never charge fully.

How to avoid the phone battery damage?

First, Make sure the capacity of your power bank is higher than the capacity of your device. For instance, if the capacity of your phone is 2500mAh, then a power bank of capacity 2000mAh won't be able to charge it fully from 0-100% whereas a power bank of 10000mAh capacity will be able to charge your phone from 0-100% a number of times.

Second, choose the well-known power bank, such as the Anker or Tattu power bank. For the best power bank, the shell is strong enough to protect the internal components. Reasonable internal structure design to improve the cooling effect; The battery cell is durable and will not explode due to high temperature. The voltage of the PCB is stable and efficient, which affects the conversion rate. When you buy power bank online, you need to know, please check here

In addition, the regular manufacturers of power bank, there are more safety protections. So charging your phone with mobile power won't damage the battery.
